As a Patient Call Medical Assistant, you will ensure patients understand and receive the care and services they need.
Must be willing to fulfill the role of Medical Assistant when required and staff other clinic locations as needed.
Essential Job
Responsibilities:
1.
Respond to patient phone and chart inquires utilizing exceptional customer service fostering a positive patient relationship.
2.
Send comprehensive patient messages regarding specific health care needs to medical staff.
3.
Transfer urgent medical calls to trained medical personnel for immediate attention.
4.
Transfer professional calls to appropriate medical staff to ensure continuity of patient care.
5.
Answer routine medical administrative inquiries and draft messages and telephone encounters to medical staff and providers as needed.
6.
Assist patients in conveying messages from providers such a lab, DI and procedure results.
Responsible for facilitating any resources.
7.
Fulfills clerical responsibilities related to patient care and clinical services such as scheduling appointments, assisting with referrals and prior authorizations.
8.
Orders office and clinical supplies.
Assists in the care and maintenance of medical equipment including calibrations and controls.
9.
Assist with patient flow.
10.
Working with Team Leader in communicating issues.
11.
Assists with web enabling for patient care as needed.
12.
Will be required to work as staff MA.
13.
Staffing at other HCSET clinics-Required 14.
